In ROCS the orange ‘Take Action’ buttons transition a request from one user to the next. There are several indicators that the request has been sent off successfully, and that the next user in line receives the request.
1] Upon submitting the request make sure that there is a green success bar at the top of the system explaining that your request was transitioned. If the status bar is red there will be text inside of the bar stating what needs to be updated before the user can transition the request:
2] Check that the owner section was updated with the correct role and individual. Once a user submits a request to the next approver the “Owner” field will be updated with the selected individual’s name. Please note if there is no name listed in the ‘Owner’ field it signifies no user received the request. Contact the ROCS Admin is this occurs:
3] Make sure that when selecting the next user-role there is a name in the drop-down menu. This name signifies which user will receive an e-mail message to take action on the request. This will also put the request in that individual’s queue. If there is no name in the drop-down list please contact the ROCS Admin:
